The drive to Lake Eyasi, approximately 190 kilometers west of Arusha, takes around 4 to 5 hours, passing through scenic landscapes dotted with traditional Maasai villages, lush farmlands, and the rolling hills of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Upon arrival at Lake Eyasi, a shallow soda lake located at an altitude of approximately 960 meters above sea level, you will meet the Hadzabe Tribe, one of Africa’s last remaining hunter-gatherer communities.
